About the Role

Air Products invites applications for the position of Material Management Specialist based in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. This role involves close collaboration with Operations and Maintenance teams to manage spare parts inventory and consumables effectively, balancing plant costs and minimizing equipment downtime while aligning with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM) from suppliers and input accurate data along with storage locations into SAP.
  • Set appropriate spare parts inventory levels once the facility becomes operational, considering local part availability and business demands.
  • Manage general plant provisioning including setup and oversight of 'zone' stores.
  • Support warehouse activities during plant commissioning and maintain precise inventory records.
  • Provide necessary warehouse updates for scheduled outages to management teams.
  • Comply with environmental and regulatory requirements related to materials.
  • Assist with construction and commissioning operations ensuring adherence to company standards and best warehouse management practices.
  • Optimize stock quantities and supervise shipment control for facility spares inbound and outbound.
  • Oversee stock replacement and inventory verification programs.
  • Coordinate emergency transport logistics with vendors as needed.
  • Conduct training and provide support for ‘hard goods’ inventory management and SAP transaction processes.
  • Ensure safe on-site and off-site storage of capital spare parts.
  • Uphold company safety, health, and environmental standards including mandatory safety activities.
  • Guarantee that warehouse operations comply with Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) standards and assist in developing related procedures.
  • Supervise warehouse contractors to maintain safety and reliability across all site activities.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance to address plant challenges with cost-effective solutions maintaining safety, reliability, quality, and supply flexibility.
  • Provide turnaround (TAR) support by ensuring availability of spares and materials to site teams.
  • Available for emergency responses any day of the week, 24/7.
  • Exhibit strong organizational, planning, interpersonal, and communication skills to maintain credibility throughout the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse and inventory management or related functions.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or relevant Technical disciplines.
  • Forklift operation license and the capability to train others is a plus.
  • Proficient in both English and Arabic languages, including reading and writing.
  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP system is required.
