Technology Internship in Data Science and AI Applications

About the Role

Join Air Products' newly established technology center in Dhahran Techno Valley (DTV), Saudi Arabia, as a CO-OP member working closely with a specialized technology team. This internship offers hands-on experience focused on Data Science (DS), Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning (DL) techniques, specifically tailored for applications in Chemical Engineering and Smart Sensor technologies, including sound and image processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of foundational DS/ML/DL algorithms and evaluate their applicability for industrial uses.
• Assist with troubleshooting firmware installations and setting up data pipelines.
• Experiment with algorithms sourced from developer communities using open-source code.
• Support data recording and preprocessing tasks for field data related to sound and images, ensuring seamless integration with application software.
• Implement DS/DL/ML/signal processing algorithms on collected data, analyze performance metrics, and develop strategies to enhance results.
• Document testing procedures and recommend best practices for future projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge or familiarity with Numerical Methods, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
• Proven programming skills in Python; alternatively, experience with C, C++, VBA, or R is acceptable.
• Past exposure to applying artificial intelligence techniques in data processing realms such as sound/image analysis, data fusion, or software integration.
