About the Role
Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Management Accountant to join their Management Accounts Team. The incumbent will play a key role in supporting the Finance Business Partner by delivering comprehensive financial management support to various services. This includes tasks such as budget monitoring, forecasting, and generating precise and timely financial reports to inform organizational decisions.
The role involves close collaboration with budget holders and operational teams to offer transparent financial guidance and ensure strong financial controls within the service areas. Effective communication and organizational capabilities are essential for building productive working relationships. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver management accounting support to selected service areas by providing accurate, timely, and relevant financial data and advice.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, forecasts, and budget statements to keep financial positions current and precise.
- Analyze financial data, identify variances, and support budget holders in managing their financial outcomes.
- Help the Finance Business Partner in producing high-quality internal and external financial reports compliant with Trust policies and deadlines.
- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with budget holders and operations teams by offering clear, accessible financial counsel.
