Logistics Supervisor

Role Overview

We are looking for an adept and experienced Logistics Supervisor to uphold high standards and continuously enhance our busy transportation network's efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily operational tasks and step in as acting Operations Manager when required.
• Lead efforts to maintain and improve safety standards within the delivery station.
• Oversee logistics assistants, coordinators, and delivery associates to ensure shipments meet or exceed operational performance benchmarks.
• Monitor and coach team members, collaborating with support teams to optimize logistics workflows and processes.
• Manage communication and expectations with delivery service providers to enhance quality of service.
• Organize and supervise workload distribution among drivers and associates.
• Ensure precise and complete completion of administrative responsibilities.
• Track workflow and daily performance metrics to assist in comprehensive site performance reporting.
• Facilitate training and mentoring for new associates, equipping them with necessary task knowledge.
• Address and resolve process-related issues promptly.
• Be adaptable to shifting work hours and overtime demands when necessary.
• Support the Operations Manager in resource management including training needs, attendance, performance, coaching, and productivity monitoring.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience managing teams.
• Strong skills in planning, evaluating performance metrics, and implementing process improvements.

Preferred Expertise

• Background in logistics operations.
• Competency in data analysis.
