Logistics Manager

About the Role

Ryder's Supply Chain Solutions division is seeking to hire a Warehouse Logistics Manager in Apopka, FL. This leadership position involves managing all facets of warehouse operations within large distribution centers, aiming to optimize processes and ensure efficient account performance including customer satisfaction and safety compliance.

Job Details and Compensation

• Employment status: Exempt salaried employee
• Salary range: $85,000 to $90,000 annually
• Bonus: Up to 10% of base salary annually
• Work schedule: Wednesday through Saturday, 5:00pm to 5:00am

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage salaried and hourly employees, addressing performance issues and ensuring adherence to company policies
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership and customers to align operations with expectations and requirements
• Manage payroll for employees under supervision
• Analyze financial reports such as weekly and monthly profit and loss statements to track account profitability and report to senior management
• Handle accounts payable, vendor relations for material procurement, and customer invoicing
• Conduct safety and security meetings, provide necessary training, and maintain strict compliance with relevant regulations

Additional Duties

• Perform other assigned tasks as required
• Maintain flexibility to work various shifts as needed

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive experience in warehouse leadership and process improvement
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop large teams successfully
• Background managing operations in large distribution centers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual ability in English and French is a plus for Quebec locations
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational capabilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
• Advanced knowledge of transportation and warehouse logistics operations
• Comprehensive understanding of safety and security requirements

Education and Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred
• Minimum of 3 years relevant supply chain, logistics, or warehouse experience
• At least 2 years in a managerial role leading direct reports
