Overview
Scovai is conducting a confidential search for a prominent life sciences organization to find a seasoned Commercial Director responsible for leading its Canadian market strategy. This role, based in Toronto on a hybrid schedule, involves full ownership of commercial P&L and executing go-to-market approaches that spur revenue growth across the Canadian business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and expand a high-performing sales and business development team.
- Develop and manage strategic key account relationships with pharma, biotech, and medtech clients.
- Drive market access strategies from conception through to execution.
- Partner with global leadership to ensure Canadian commercial priorities align with overall company growth goals.
- Champion product launches and foster market expansion to achieve measurable results.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in Canadian reimbursement and HTA processes including CADTH, pCPA, and provincial formularies.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French with established relationships in Quebec’s health system and among francophone stakeholders.
- Successful track record in scaling commercial operations and leading product launches for biologics, advanced therapies, or mid to late-stage biotech products within Canada.
- Strong skills in commercial analytics and revenue operations such as Salesforce/CRM, forecasting, pricing analytics, and KPI-driven decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cross-sector experience in both pharmaceutical and medtech industries.
- Knowledge of Health Canada regulatory environment and compliance.
- Experience collaborating with global commercial or executive leaders.
- Well-established network within Canadian pharma, biotech, or medtech organizations.
