IT Support Specialist

Overview

A prominent private investment and support organization in Abu Dhabi, with a varied portfolio inclusive of education environments, is seeking a seasoned IT Support Specialist. This hands-on role involves providing technical assistance on-site to both staff and students within the organization’s IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile gadgets, and classroom technologies.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, software, networking, wireless connections, and general connectivity.
• Handle user account management, access rights, and password reset requests.
• Support and maintain Microsoft 365 platforms, Windows operating systems, and Active Directory services.
• Install, configure, and upkeep IT hardware and software assets.
• Keep precise records of IT assets and support cases.
• Refer complex technical problems to higher-level support when required.
• Liaise with external vendors as necessary to resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure that all user inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally.

Qualifications and Experience

• 6 to 8 years of experience in IT support roles such as desktop support or helpdesk functions.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and fundamental networking concepts.
• Prior experience supporting printers, wireless networks, audiovisual devices, and user endpoint equipment.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and resolving various IT issues.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service communication abilities.
• Experience working within educational institutions is an added advantage.
• Relevant professional IT certifications or qualifications are beneficial.
• Arabic language proficiency is preferred.
