Job Overview
The Qatar Olympic Committee is looking to recruit a qualified International Relations & Studies Specialist to support its international affairs functions. The role involves preparing official correspondence and documents and facilitating coordination with regional and global organizations.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in fields such as English Language, International Relations, Business Administration, Library Science, or related disciplines.
- Preferred training in administrative areas and expertise in Microsoft Office suite.
- Fluent reading, writing, and speaking skills in both Arabic and English.
- Strong capability in report writing and delivering presentations.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools and workflow management software.
Experience Requirements
- Previous background in administrative, office management, or secretarial positions.
- Experience drafting official documents and correspondence in Arabic and English.
- Skilled in creating reports, presentations, and meeting minutes.
- Preferred experience working with sports organizations or committees involved in sporting events.
- Experience liaising with external agencies and international entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Composing and managing official correspondence in English for internal and external recipients.
- Preparing formal letters, invitations, circulars, and congratulatory notes in Arabic and English.
- Proofreading English documents and providing translations as needed.
- Tracking and ensuring completion of assigned tasks by various departments and external partners.
- Generating statements and recommendations concerning international organizations, federations, and national Olympic committees in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
- Handling official email communication and verifying documentation completeness before processing.
- Reviewing documentation for compliance and readiness before approval and signatures.
- Documenting minutes, assembling presentations, and compiling reports for official meetings.
- Drafting executive summaries and discussion topics in collaboration with experts and concerned departments.
- Maintaining and updating the year-round schedule of international events, activities, and meetings.
- Executing additional duties as directed by the supervising manager.
