About the Role
KIMS Hospital in Maidstone is seeking an experienced Imaging Administrator to join their radiology team. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth daily operation of radiology appointment bookings and management of diagnostic clinics. It offers a bank position with an hourly pay rate of £13.20, in addition to holiday pay.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the daily scheduling of patient appointments for radiology, making effective use of available clinic sessions.
- Deliver prompt and professional back-office support through telephone and email communications.
- Monitor the NHS email inbox for urgent referral messages.
- Greet patients, visitors, consultants, and staff within the Radiology Department, providing guidance and confirming patient information as necessary.
- Timely scanning and uploading of all referrals and related documents into the Patient Administration System (PAS).
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Good general education with at least a grade 4 or equivalent qualification in English and Maths.
- Prior experience in a customer-focused administrative role.
- Proficiency with IT applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Experience in hospital administrative settings.
- Knowledge of radiology patient information and booking platforms, such as RIS and PAS.
Working Hours
This is a 40-hour per week position from Monday to Friday, with shift options between 08:00 to 20:00, including 08:00-16:00, 10:00-18:00, or 12:00-20:00 shifts.
