Opportunity Overview
Join Northland's leading garden retailer as a valued Garden Team Member in our well-established garden department. This role offers a chance to work in a vibrant "big box" store environment with a team committed to delivering excellent customer experiences. If you enjoy gardening and want to assist Kiwis with their gardening needs, this is the position for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by helping customers select appropriate plants, fertilizers, pest control, and garden hardware solutions.
- Offer expert advice, inspiration, and practical support to customers and team members alike.
- Perform hands-on physical tasks such as maintenance within the garden department, including lifting, moving, and replenishing heavy stock.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience delivering great customer service.
- Strong knowledge of plants, garden hardware, and dry garden products.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and team-oriented mindset with confident communication skills.
- Excellent time management and the ability to adapt effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a garden centre is advantageous but not essential.
- Availability to work on a roster that includes weekends.
- Residency in New Zealand or a valid NZ work visa is mandatory.
