Job Summary
We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Equipment Control Executive to join our team, focusing on managing Demurrage and Detention (D&D) charge reconciliation, container utilization oversight, maintaining precise system records, supporting data reporting, and contributing to cost optimization to enhance the efficiency of equipment operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate reconciliation of Demurrage & Detention (D&D) charges to maintain billing precision.
- Monitor the movement of empty containers and actively reduce long-dwell times to maximize asset use.
- Update and correct container movement data within the OPUS system regularly.
- Assist in reviewing depot invoices for accuracy and adherence to compliance standards.
- Support Equipment Control workflows to efficiently track and utilize container assets.
- Extract, analyze, reconcile, and visualize operational data for reporting purposes.
- Execute ad-hoc operational tasks to support everyday business operations.
- Identify potential cost-saving measures through detailed analytical insights.
- Perform any other related ad-hoc assignments as required.
Job Requirements
- Possess at least a Diploma in Maritime Studies, Shipping-related studies, or a relevant discipline.
- Preferably have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar equipment control or logistics role.
- Familiarity with Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL) standards, cargo-worthy inspections and repair estimation; holding an IICL certification is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent time management, capable of juggling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with solid analytical and problem-solving skills to make informed operational decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite software applications.
