Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Lead and engage in the annual NCQA HEDIS audit process by preparing necessary documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, validating measure logics, and ensuring support for audit outputs.
• Conduct monthly monitoring, analysis, and trend evaluation of HEDIS and quality performance metrics to detect performance gaps, emerging patterns, and areas for enhancement.
• Create and update dashboards, PivotTables, and various reports that aid clinical quality programs, including HEDIS, Star Ratings, and PIP initiatives.
• Use SQL to extract and verify healthcare data from diverse sources to support reporting, measure monitoring, and operational decisions.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, provider groups, healthcare informatics, and leadership to maintain data integrity and bolster quality improvement projects.
• Design and revise executive-level presentations and visual reports conveying performance outcomes, crucial insights, risks, and strategic recommendations.
• Provide leadership actionable guidance for targeted focus, intervention, or performance enhancements.
• Assist in the creation and deployment of supplemental data management processes, reporting enhancements, and data quality validation efforts.
• Participate in cross-departmental meetings offering expertise on HEDIS measures, quality reporting, and healthcare data analytics.
• Contribute to special analyses, projects, and initiatives aligned with organizational quality objectives and regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience crafting and maintaining SQL queries for data retrieval, analysis, and report generation.
• At least two years’ background working with healthcare datasets, including expertise in data analysis, validation, and performance tracking.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, including dashboard creation, PivotTables, data manipulation, and reporting.
• Strong analytical and communication capabilities to translate complex datasets into clear insights suitable for leadership.
• Ability to support data-driven decisions and quality improvement processes.
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HEDIS measures and quality management programs.
• Understanding of health plan rating systems such as Star Ratings.
• Familiarity with NCQA standards, HEDIS audits, and related regulatory frameworks.
• Knowledge of Medicaid quality and state-specific reporting requirements.
• Experience managing or integrating supplemental data feeds to back quality measurement and reporting.
• Insight into healthcare quality improvement programs, population health, and performance metrics.

Additional Information

This fully remote position is open to candidates anywhere within the U.S., though those hired in Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. areas must work onsite at least four days weekly. Compliance with the company's Telecommuter Policy is required. The annual salary range is $60,200 to $107,400, subject to factors such as local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications.
