Location and Position Details
The role is based in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada, and is a full-time, onsite position. Compensation starts at $41,000 annually with eligibility for benefits, reflecting experience and internal pay equity. This vacancy corresponds to an immediate opening and is not for talent pool creation.
Role Summary
The primary responsibility involves setting up and releasing imported shipments into Canada across multiple transport modes, ensuring strict compliance with Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) regulations under the Customs Act.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the setup and release process of shipments imported into Canada.
- Monitor and track incoming shipments for status updates.
- Handle courier shipment processing efficiently.
- Identify special handling requirements, recommend and execute process improvements within assigned responsibilities.
- Strictly follow departmental and organizational standard operating procedures and policies.
- Participate actively by providing feedback and insights during weekly team meetings.
- Fulfill assigned statutory or public holiday work on a rotational basis to meet operational demands, with compensation provided according to applicable laws including holiday pay and premium rates or substitute paid days off.

- Support DSV’s ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certification efforts, specifically for the Montreal location.
- Contribute to organizational objectives related to quality, health, safety, and environment by complying with relevant policies.

Education and Qualifications
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation is advantageous.
- Background or education in logistics is beneficial.
