Position Overview
This role involves managing comprehensive order fulfillment, export coordination, and claims resolution to ensure a superior customer experience. The incumbent acts as a vital link among customers, sales teams, logistics partners, and internal supply chain functions, dedicated to order accuracy, punctual delivery, effective returns handling, and proactive resolution of issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee entire customer order lifecycle from input to delivery while addressing exceptions and operational hurdles.
- Monitor customer accounts for issues like blocked orders, inventory limitations, and delivery risks, coordinating solutions collaboratively.
- Collaborate with transportation, logistics, demand planning, supply chain, and fulfillment departments to enhance shipment and distribution performance.
- Manage ocean freight bookings, air shipments, carrier engagements, and delivery requirements to fulfill operational timelines and customer expectations.
- Maintain order tracking with full visibility of status, delays, causes, and corrective measures.
- Support export activities by preparing necessary documentation, including certifications and compliance paperwork.
- Handle customer returns, refusals, and claims by assessing requests for policy adherence and securing proper approvals.
- Analyze return and service problems to detect patterns, suggest improvements, and minimize disruptions.
- Communicate promptly with customers and stakeholders regarding order updates, issues, and resolution strategies.
- Participate in continuous enhancement efforts targeting customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and cost reductions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred or comparable professional experience.
- Minimum two years of experience in supply chain roles including order processing, inventory control, transportation, or demand planning.
- Familiarity with export procedures and international shipping is desirable.
- Experience using SAP or related ERP systems is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with intermediate Excel abilities—handling large datasets, VLOOKUP, and PivotTables.
- Understanding of export operations, documentation, and logistical workflows.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Analytical capacity to interpret data trends and develop practical solutions.
- Effective organization skills to juggle priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving aptitude, keen attention to detail, and sound judgment.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Spanish or Chinese language skills are preferred.
- Preference for candidates based in Long Island, NY, for occasional onsite meetings and training.
