Job Overview
We seek a skilled Copy Editor with substantial experience in language editing and book publishing processes. The candidate should have a background in editing academic or scholarly works, especially in Humanities and Social Sciences.
Primary Duties
- Edit language for books and extended content pieces
- Revise manuscripts adhering to Chicago Manual of Style standards
- Implement APA and AMA citation formats accurately
- Ensure content is grammatically correct and clear for readers
- Work closely with authors and production teams to refine texts
- Deliver high-quality editing within project timelines
Candidate Requirements
- 3 to 6 years of professional experience in copy or language editing
- In-depth familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style
- Knowledge of APA and AMA citation styles
- Background in editing academic and scholarly books
- Strong command of English grammar and effective communication abilities
