Position Overview

This role involves preparing food ingredients by measuring, chopping, portioning, and properly storing them. Responsibilities include washing and peeling fresh produce, mixing components according to recipes and quality benchmarks, cooking food with various appliances, and ensuring adequate cooking by testing foods. The cook also prepares cold dishes, maintains a clean and sanitary work area, and serves food in appropriate portions and containers.

Work Environment and Safety

Cooks must adhere strictly to all company safety and security guidelines, report any accidents or unsafe conditions to management, and complete required safety trainings. Uniforms and personal hygiene must be maintained professionally, with confidentiality and company asset protection ensured at all times. Clear, professional communication and positive teamwork are essential, alongside attentiveness to quality standards.

Physical Requirements

The job requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk throughout an entire shift, as well as movements such as bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of relevant culinary experience
• No prior supervisory experience necessary
• No additional certifications or licenses required
