Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor

Position Overview

The Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor role involves overseeing housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms, public spaces, and facilities meet established cleanliness standards. This position is based at Palm West Beach, Palm Jumeirah Road, Dubai, and requires presence on-site for full-time employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and amenities such as pools post-cleaning to uphold quality standards.
• Manage sold room reports and verify room statuses, identify discrepancies, and prioritize cleaning tasks accordingly.
• Update room status for departing guests and coordinate daily housekeeping activities.
• Serve as a liaison among Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments to synchronize efforts.
• Document discrepancies in room conditions and resolve issues in collaboration with Front Desk personnel.
• Prepare and distribute changes in room assignments and communicate ongoing issues to incoming shifts.
• Assist management activities including staffing, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of employees.
• Adhere to company safety and security policies, report maintenance problems, hazards, accidents, and ensure completion of safety training.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality regarding proprietary information and company assets.
• Greet and acknowledge guests warmly and professionally; anticipate and fulfill guest service needs, including assistance for individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and guests; foster positive working relationships through active listening and responsiveness.
• Meet physical requirements including lifting up to 55 pounds unassisted, pushing/pulling loaded carts on varied surfaces, and maintaining physical endurance and coordination throughout the shift.
• Utilize computer systems and point of sale tools for work-related data entry and verification.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Minimum educational attainment: High school diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) certificate.
• At least one year of experience in a related housekeeping role.
• Minimum of one year of supervisory experience managing housekeeping or similar teams.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
