Position Overview

BMD is expanding its civil construction team in Townsville by recruiting experienced Concreters, Steel Fixers, and Formworkers. The role involves working on significant infrastructure projects, delivering superior quality concrete structures, and supporting a safe, efficient, and cooperative site atmosphere. This position offers a strong opportunity to advance a long-term career within a prestigious Australian contractor on diverse civil projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform concreting, formwork, and steel fixing tasks as required.
• Interpret and work in accordance with project plans, specifications, and site instructions.
• Collaborate closely with Leading Hands and Foremen to meet project goals.
• Ensure exceptional workmanship and consistent productivity throughout the project.
• Comply with all safety, quality control, and environmental guidelines.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented work culture on-site.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in concreting, formwork, or steel fixing roles.
• At least two years in a similar position within the industry.
• Possession of a current Construction White Card.
• Strong ability to follow directions and perform effectively as part of a team.
• Deep commitment to health and safety standards in the workplace.
• Detail-oriented approach and pride in producing high-quality workmanship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within civil construction environments is highly valued.
• Holding a valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and plans.
