Company Overview
Join Summerset Milldale as it opens its new café, a vibrant addition to a thriving retirement village community in Auckland. This café will serve as a welcoming hub for residents, their families, and visitors.
Role Summary
We seek a friendly and energetic Café Assistant who believes in brightening days with excellent coffee and warm customer interactions. You will contribute to creating a warm, inviting atmosphere and work collaboratively with the Chef Manager and café team to deliver consistently enjoyable experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, present, and serve food and beverages to high standards.
- Deliver exceptional barista services ensuring quality coffee preparation.
- Support catering for village events and resident functions.
- Manage cash handling and daily takings reconciliation accurately.
Working Hours and Start Date
- Two positions available: Sunday to Thursday, 9:30am to 3:30pm; and Friday to Monday, 9:30am to 3:30pm.
- Commencing on 21st September with 2.5 weeks of comprehensive full-time training and support.
- Interviews scheduled for late August.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in hospitality or café environments.
- Strong barista skills with attention to quality.
- Warm, approachable personality and excellent customer service capabilities.
- Effective communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
