About the Role

Join Walmart Canada as a Bakery Associate and enhance your retail skills while delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves maintaining and organizing the bakery section, assisting in stocking, and promoting sales of bakery products, all while upholding Walmart's core values and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure the quality and attractiveness of bakery products including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Keep the bakery department fully stocked and prepared for daily business operations.
• Ensure all bakery merchandise is correctly priced and properly labeled with signage.
• Comply with cold chain standards, including thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, food handling, product rotation, and managing sell-by and expiration dates.
• Uphold food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean environment.
• Follow procedures related to ordering, clearance sales, price markups and markdowns, labeling, and other merchandising tasks.
• Prepare bakery goods following exact thawing and baking instructions to preserve quality and appearance.
• Secure all displays safely and appropriately to ensure customer and staff safety.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.05.

Minimum Qualifications

• Applicants must be aged 16 years or older.
