Job Overview
As part of ongoing expansion, Listers Toyota Boston is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm, with Saturday shifts on a rotational basis from 8:30 am to 1 pm.

Role Responsibilities
- Perform servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on all workshop vehicles, ensuring first-time quality workmanship.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical maintenance activities including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts, and air conditioning servicing.
- Handle repair and upkeep of Electric and Hybrid vehicles using electronic diagnostic tools focusing on components like batteries, drive motors, auxiliary drive packs, and control systems.
- Install manufacturer-supplied accessories and audio equipment as required.
- Understand the importance of customer satisfaction and its role in business success.
- Operate additional systems such as video reporting tools (e.g., CitNOW) after training.
- Complete all service documentation adhering to manufacturer and brand standards.
- Collaborate closely with the workshop team to continuously share knowledge and learn.
Candidate Profile
- Applicants from diverse automotive backgrounds including Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic or Technician, Motor Mechanic, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester, or Apprentice Vehicle Technician are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in independent garages, fast-fit centres, car supermarkets, or main dealerships will be considered.
- Possession or pursuit of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is required.
- Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualifications are advantageous though not mandatory; comprehensive training will be provided.
- An MOT license is beneficial but not compulsory.
- Must hold a full UK driving licence.
- Demonstrated strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with a commitment to high-quality work is essential.
