Support Analyst - Fund Operations IT

Role Overview

This position involves comprehensive responsibility for delivering software modifications from initial requirements through to deployment in production. The role includes rotating duties to provide ongoing production support, overseeing service requests, incident and problem management as well as change management procedures. Weekend responsibilities such as software releases, BCP testing, and exchange rehearsals will be part of the schedule.

Core Duties

• End-to-end management of software change delivery from inception to production rollout.
• Participate in production rotations covering monitoring and managing incidents in live environments.
• Handle service request fulfillment alongside incident, problem, and change management tasks.
• Manage weekend activities including software deployments, business continuity plan tests, and trading environment rehearsals.
• Prepare detailed status reports covering system health checks, change implementations, incidents, capacity, and performance metrics.
• Create and maintain documentation for applications including knowledge bases and process guidelines.
• Modify monitoring tools to align with evolving requirements or to fill observed gaps.
• Identify and communicate risks proactively and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Initiate and implement automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
• 2 to 3 years of support experience within investment banking or financial services domain.
• Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, C#, C++, Typescript, Python, Shell scripting, PowerShell.
• Strong skills in SQL, Linux environments, and scripting using Bash or Korn shell.
• Experience with DevOps tools including Git, Bamboo, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle encompassing both development and production support phases.
• Minimum 3 years managing several applications, whether internally developed or vendor-supported.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and gaining knowledge about equities trading workflows.
• Open to adopting and proposing best industry practices.
