Position Overview
The Waikato Regional Council is seeking to fill two positions: one permanent full-time role (40 hours weekly) and one permanent part-time role (32 hours weekly). The Property and Fleet Coordinator will oversee day-to-day management of property and fleet operations, ensuring assets remain safe, compliant, well-maintained, and fit for their intended purpose. Responsibilities include managing asset systems and records, maintaining operational documentation and training materials, coordinating contractors and suppliers, supporting procurement, resolving operational challenges, and monitoring performance through data analysis and reporting. Site visits across the region will be required to uphold property and fleet standards alongside building strong relationships with Council staff and other stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently. They will be adept at fostering relationships with diverse stakeholders and take initiative in problem-solving with accountability. Attention to detail is critical, especially for precise administration and data handling. A customer-centric outlook committed to delivering prompt and quality service is essential. Adaptability, self-motivation, and capability to work both independently and collaboratively are also important.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience coordinating property, fleet, or asset services.
- Hands-on experience maintaining asset records, utilizing systems, and generating reports.
- Proficient in managing contractors and suppliers to execute maintenance and compliance tasks.
- Skillful in handling multiple work programs and setting priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams applications.
- Experience in invoicing and contract administration procedures.
- Possession of a full New Zealand Driver Licence.
