Role Overview: Principal – Venture Capital

This role is open to candidates across Europe. Applicants must reside in Europe and hold citizenship in a NATO member country or allied nation. Frequent travel within and outside Europe will be required.

The Principal will be instrumental in sourcing, evaluating, and executing investments aligned with our focus areas. Reporting directly to the Managing Partner, you will assist with the entire investment lifecycle and help define the firm's long-term strategy. This role demands entrepreneurial spirit, exceptional analytical skills, commercial insight, and a deep passion for technology and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and source investment opportunities worldwide.
• Lead thorough commercial, technical, and financial due diligence processes.
• Develop investment theses related to emerging technologies.
• Prepare comprehensive investment memoranda.
• Present recommendations to the Investment Committee.
• Provide strategic support to portfolio companies.
• Foster relationships with founders, co-investors, and strategic partners.
• Represent Tholus at international conferences and industry forums.
• Contribute actively to fundraising and investor relations efforts.

Candidate Qualifications

• Between 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• A background in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Investment Banking, Strategy Consulting, or Technology sectors.
• Strong skills in financial modeling and data analysis.
• Excellent abilities in communication and presentation.
• A keen interest in technology trends, geopolitics, and industrial innovation.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a capacity to work independently.

Preferred Additional Qualifications

• Educational or professional background in engineering or technical fields.
• Experience related to defense, aerospace, or advanced technologies.
• Previous experience in venture investments.

Additional Information

The position is not tied to a single physical location; candidates can work from anywhere in Europe but must travel regularly. Applicants must be citizens of NATO or allied countries. The role involves extensive travel within and beyond Europe.
