Role Overview
The ServiceNow CMDB Health Administrator plays a critical role in sustaining the Configuration Management Database's accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Your focus ensures data quality and drives the governance framework across the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the management and compliance of Configuration Management data within the CMDB to facilitate smooth daily operations and uphold service quality standards.
- Ensure accurate, trustworthy data in the Configuration Management Database, while promoting the Operating Model, roles, and processes tied to Configuration Management throughout the technology division.
- Monitor the CMDB Health Dashboard, tracking major KPIs including Correctness, Completeness, and Compliance.
- Address reconciliation and remediation tasks by eliminating duplicate Configuration Items, correcting orphaned records, and managing stale or outdated items such as servers unscanned for more than 30 days.
- Configure thresholds and policies by setting metric limits, defining health categories, and managing data certification audits.
- Maintain alignment of Configuration Item classifications with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM), optimizing inputs from tools such as ServiceNow Discovery.
- Implement access controls and governance within the ServiceNow CMDB Workspace, ensuring secure management of Configuration Item relationships and class definitions.
Educational Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology is required for this position.
