This permanent role offers the chance to join a diverse regional HR team managing payroll and employee administration across UK, Republic of Ireland, USA, Asia, and Australia. The position suits payroll professionals eager to advance their career within a multinational setting, gaining exposure to global payroll systems and payroll automation projects.
Role Responsibilities
Supporting the Payroll Manager, you will assist in processing payroll with responsibilities including data entry, validation, reconciliation, and preparing payroll inputs such as new starters, leavers, changes in contracts, absences, and variable pay. The position involves aiding monthly payroll cycles and ensuring accurate, timely data delivery to relevant providers. Additionally, you will review payroll outputs, payslips, and reports, raising discrepancies as needed while maintaining payroll records for audit and compliance needs.
In benefits administration, you will handle employee benefit schemes like pensions and healthcare, managing enrolments, amendments, and exits while coordinating with benefit brokers and addressing employee queries.
The role also involves providing occasional administrative assistance to the HR team.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in UK payroll administration with comprehensive understanding of full payroll cycles.
- Experienced in handling new starters, leavers, contractual adjustments, absences, and variable pay elements.
- Skilled in payroll reconciliation, data validation, and maintaining data accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF statements, and data analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with payroll software systems.
- Experience in benefits management (such as pensions, healthcare, or salary sacrifice schemes).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
Preferred qualifications include experience with HRIS platforms, managing payroll across multiple countries, working with outsourced payroll providers, involvement in payroll audits and year-end processes, and contributing to payroll process improvements or automation initiatives.
