Position Overview

Join Latitude Margaritaville Watersound as a Full-Time Houseman and bring your island charm to maintaining our community's cleanliness and upkeep. This role involves handling cleaning assignments that require specialized skills and training, overseeing work quality, and ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met.

Primary Duties

• Perform various cleaning and maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, shampooing carpets, dusting, polishing, window cleaning, replacing light bulbs, and managing trash disposal.
• Notify the Supervisor about needed supplies and maintain cleaning chemicals following OSHA hazardous materials guidelines.
• Manage trash removal and participate in emergency clean-ups.
• Operate new cleaning equipment safely and learn proper usage before handling.
• Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor at all times.
• Ensure sanitary supplies are adequately stocked in assigned areas.
• Conduct daily inspections of assigned areas and report any issues or maintenance needs to the Supervisor.
• Adhere to security and safety policies throughout the workday.
• Maintain cooperative relations with building staff and complete daily work orders as scheduled.
• Perform floor furnishing and burnishing as required.
• Clean restrooms thoroughly, including floors, toilets, counters, mirrors, and refill dispensers.
• Set up and dismantle equipment in recreational areas and pool decks.
• Report any discrepancies or equipment problems promptly.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior custodial or cleaning experience is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.

Special Requirements and Physical Demands

• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Capability to stand for extended periods.
• Comfort working in various weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, and rain.
• Physical agility to crawl in confined spaces, climb stairs, reach, handle equipment, and navigate the property swiftly.
• Ability to respond promptly to emergencies.
• Comfort climbing ladders and working at heights up to three feet.
• Repeat precise wrist and hand motions as necessary.
• Completion of all required documentation.
• Maintain a positive and fun attitude while performing duties.

Compensation and Schedule

• Hourly wage ranging from $16 to $18.
• Full-time engagement averaging 35-40 hours per week.
• Availability for evening and weekend shifts is necessary.
