Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role

This position oversees the maintenance team and coordinates all maintenance activities to ensure facility operations run smoothly. Based in Qatar, the Maintenance Supervisor directs tasks related to building systems, kitchen equipment upkeep, and general repairs, taking responsibility for scheduling, reporting, and documentation.

Key Duties

• Leads and organizes maintenance staff to carry out repairs, preventive maintenance, and ongoing facility upkeep.
• Develops and enforces maintenance schedules among team members to optimize workflow and ensure timely completion.
• Oversees repair, servicing, and checks on kitchen appliances, electrical fixtures, plumbing systems, and civil or structural elements of the building.
• Prioritizes and manages incoming maintenance requests, rapidly addressing emergencies and monitoring daily progress to completion.
• Maintains precise records of preventative and corrective maintenance, service requests, expenditures, and jobs in progress.
• Reports status, issues, and actions taken regularly to management.

Requirements

• Applicants must already be residing in Qatar and have a transferable work visa.
• Completion of High School, a vocational certificate, a Diploma, or an equivalent qualification is required.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in facility or equipment maintenance is necessary.
• Outstanding communication and presentation capabilities for internal reporting and team leadership.
• Demonstrated leadership skills to guide a team of technicians and maintenance personnel.
• Competency with computers for reporting and record-keeping tasks.
• Extensive hands-on expertise in diagnosing, repairing, installing, replacing, and troubleshooting electrical systems, air conditioning, and kitchen equipment.
• In-depth familiarity with building systems, including structures, civil work, and plumbing.
• Basic carpentry knowledge considered an asset.
• Strong foundation in preventive maintenance best practices.
