About the Role

As a Customer Engineer Associate on the Google Cloud Platform, you will collaborate closely with technical sales teams to distinguish Google Cloud’s offerings in the market. Acting as the primary technical advisor to customers, you'll lead technically oriented discussions to grasp customers’ business challenges, troubleshoot issues, conduct proof of concepts and demos, and design comprehensive cloud solutions that address these challenges. Your role includes driving technical wins, defining delivery strategies, and engaging both technical and business stakeholders with persuasive presentations of Google Cloud solutions.
This position requires a combination of strong communication, technical design, and organizational capabilities, with an emphasis on identifying new business opportunities and expanding current workloads. The role spans knowledge of infrastructure and application modernization, data analytics, and other cloud technologies, positioning you at the forefront of Google’s AI innovations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed technical account plans and contribute to targeted sales strategies.
- Integrate skills in sales, programming, and solution architecture to demonstrate Google Cloud’s value through advanced demonstrations, pilots, and workshops.
- Design and implement multi-pillared cloud solutions, lead technical engagements, and establish initial delivery frameworks.
- Support pricing processes and facilitate a smooth handoff to implementation teams after sales closure.
- Track progress against delivery plans and assist cross-functional teams during phases such as ramp-up, delivery, migration, and implementation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least one year experience in customer-facing roles involving cloud native architecture.
- Experience with cloud engineering, on-premises engineering, virtualization, or containerization technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with technical stakeholders or executive teams through presentations or communications.
- Proficiency in programming, debugging, system design, prototyping, demos, or conducting customer-focused workshops.
Preferred Experience
- Technical sales experience with solutions related to Infrastructure Modernization, Application Modernization, Data Management, Data Analytics, Cloud AI, Networking, Migrations, or Security.
- Capability to lead entire sales cycles including defining delivery and consumption plans and transitioning them for execution.
- Experience formulating long-term technical strategies to uncover business workloads.
- Skills in migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with security concepts such as encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and penetration testing.
