Job Overview
The Treatment and Learning Centers (TLC) in Rockville, MD, is seeking a full-time Intake Assistant to support the Outpatient Pediatric Occupational and Speech-Language Therapy Departments. This role is pivotal in maintaining the efficient daily operations of therapy services by delivering clerical, administrative, and customer support to staff, patients, and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and families via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
- Direct incoming calls to the appropriate departments efficiently.
- Complete client intake procedures and schedule appointments.
- Assist clients in filling out required forms.
- Input all intake details into the patient database and regularly update client email lists.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma mandatory; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of one year’s administrative experience in a similar healthcare environment.
- Ability to work independently, multitask effectively, collaborate well with team members, and demonstrate patience with a diverse client base.
- Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and public relations abilities.
- Polished telephone etiquette, strong organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills, especially in MS Excel and database management.
