Deli Associate

Role Overview

Join Walmart Canada as a Deli Associate and enhance your skills within the retail environment. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service in line with Walmart's core values while maintaining and organizing the deli section and supporting product sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain organized zones within the deli department.
• Rotate stock and monitor product expiration dates diligently.
• Ensure merchandise is accurately labeled with prices and signage.
• Follow regulations and company policies concerning cold chain handling, thermometer calibration, temperature documentation, food safety, product rotation, and expiration management.
• Process customer orders in the deli, preparing and slicing products such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken, and provide customer support as needed.
• Assist front-end staff with price verification.
• Prepare deli products including meats and cheeses using slicers and other equipment, cook chicken using rotisserie ovens and deep fryers, and fill salads and side dishes for display and special customer requests.
• Keep the deli area clean, tidy, and free of clutter, debris, and spills.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.20.
