About the Role

Service New Brunswick is actively looking to add a Customer Service Representative to their Hampton team. This permanent part-time position focuses on providing high-quality government services directly to the public in alignment with provincial policies and procedures. Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with accessing a variety of government services in person.
  • Verify accuracy of customer information following established guidelines.
  • Process electronic forms, update records, and manage payment transactions.
  • Handle cash transactions efficiently and ensure balances are accurate.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned to support service delivery.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have completed high school or GED plus a one-year related post-secondary diploma and possess at least three years of customer service or equivalent experience. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and work experience may be considered. Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory, and candidates should clearly specify their language proficiency in the application.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience handling complex computerized transactions is advantageous.

Operational Conditions

  • Successful candidates must pass a criminal history check prior to appointment.
  • Eligibility to be appointed as Commissioner of Oaths, requiring age over 19, Canadian citizenship, and a clean background.
  • Willingness to work some weekday evenings and Saturday mornings.
  • Ability to travel to other regional service centres, necessitating a valid New Brunswick driver's license and personal transportation.

Remuneration and Benefits

The hourly wage ranges from $22.41 to $27.19, governed by the Administrative Services Level 3 collective agreement. Updated wage rates and retroactive payments will be applied once new scales are effective.
