About the Role
Seeking a confident negotiator experienced in handling complex or high-risk debt accounts to join a dynamic organization dedicated to impactful debt recovery. As a High-Risk Recoveries Agent, you will oversee a portfolio of challenging customer debts, collaborating internally and with external agencies to enhance recovery outcomes effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of high-risk customer accounts throughout the entire debt recovery process.
- Respond to inbound inquiries and proactively communicate with customers about overdue balances.
- Negotiate payment agreements and assist customers in establishing sustainable repayment plans.
- Work closely with internal departments to escalate and resolve intricate debt cases.
- Coordinate on tenancy changes and verify essential account information.
- Engage with external Debt Collection Agencies to facilitate recovery efforts, potentially leading to litigation.
- Ensure all activities adhere strictly to regulatory standards, including GDPR compliance.
- Assist with complaint and dispute resolutions as necessary.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex debt recovery or collections.
- Previous exposure to the utilities industry is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with debt management software and systems.
- Strong communication and negotiation capabilities.
- Ability to manage a defined portfolio of customer accounts efficiently.
- Good understanding of relevant regulatory and legal frameworks governing collections.

- Competitive salary up to £33,000 depending on experience, plus up to 10% annual bonus distributed quarterly.
- Hybrid working model: three days remote work after establishment, two days onsite at Sale, Manchester office.
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, no weekend shifts.
