Role Overview
This newly established position focuses on expanding sales across the South Island. Reporting to the Head of Sales South Island, the successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring new business clients including SMEs and larger companies, introducing them to the expanding platform and product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead new client acquisition efforts throughout the South Island, targeting business owners and firms of various sizes.
- Promote and sell the company’s platform and comprehensive product range beyond traditional offerings.
- Develop and nurture relationships with accountants and financial teams to leverage these networks for client introductions.
- Effectively manage and prioritize a diverse sales pipeline spanning the territory.
- Travel regularly within the South Island to meet with prospective and current clients.
- Stay well-informed on relevant financial services news and accounting industry trends.
Candidate Attributes
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development within services industries, preferably financial services or technology SaaS sectors.
- Self-driven with a proactive 'hunter' mentality for new business acquisition.
- Strong financial literacy enabling confident engagement with accountants and finance leaders.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a broad region.
- Adaptable communication style tailored to diverse clients and situations.
- Willingness and availability to travel monthly within the South Island.
