This role involves hands-on field work supporting, diagnosing, and repairing telecommunications systems and related equipment. The position is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and requires regular travel to different work sites.

No prior experience is required; experience is considered an asset.

Work Location and Travel

Work assignments may change from one location to another, and the job requires frequent or ongoing travel. This is an on-the-road position.

Responsibilities

Identify faults in telecommunications equipment, then adjust, replace, or repair the affected parts.
Review test outcomes and make the necessary changes or repairs to switching systems, networks, associated hardware, and software.
Assess the type, source, and location of technical problems.
Work at heights while climbing poles, ladders, and similar support structures.
Service and restore aerial and underground transmission systems.
