Role Overview

This position is centered on the careful handling of donated goods in a busy backroom setting. The recycler works with the Merchandise Processing Supervisor to unload, sort, weigh, tag, and move donations to the correct areas so product can flow efficiently to the sales floor, waste is reduced, and recycling efforts are supported.

The role calls for someone who is reliable, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment while keeping the work area orderly and compliant with safety standards.

What You Will Do

  • Unload donated merchandise and sort it into the proper containers.
  • Weigh, label, and log incoming donations while keeping bins arranged by date.
  • Track donation bins and move items to processing areas as needed.
  • Refill stock for sub-departments and relocate re-routed bins.
  • Remove unsellable or damaged items according to company procedures.
  • Assist with baling, compaction, recycling, and back-stock organization.
  • Help prepare for sale days and complete general operational duties.

  • Use balers, compactors, and forklifts when certified, following all safety procedures.
