Overview
We are seeking a Recreation Attendant to join our team at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts located in West Bay, Doha, Qatar. This non-management role involves engaging with guests to invite, register, and schedule their participation in recreational activities while ensuring a joyful and comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Encourage and register guests for recreational programs and promote a positive atmosphere.
- Provide guests with information about recreational facilities and activities available.
- Enforce recreational facility rules to maintain guest safety and well-being.
- Monitor activities closely and respond appropriately to emergencies following local operational procedures.
- Identify situations where guests may be at risk during activities and communicate concerns to supervisors or management.
- Maintain cleanliness and good condition of recreational equipment and supplies.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; complete all required safety trainings and certifications.
- Uphold company safety policies and promptly report maintenance issues or hazards.
- Ensure personal appearance and uniform are professional and tidy at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company information and safeguard assets.
- Support coworkers with respect and dignity and work collaboratively to meet team goals.
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Physically assist in moving objects weighing below 25 pounds independently and assist with heavier items up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Visually inspect information, tools, equipment, or machines for defects or details.
- Use computers or point-of-sale systems to locate and enter relevant work information.
- Perform fine motor tasks requiring hand-eye coordination and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights.
- Perform physical movements including reaching overhead, bending, twisting, crouching, crawling, and navigating confined or elevated spaces; move on uneven or slippery surfaces and climb stairs or ramps.
- Greet and recognize all guests following company standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone.
- Carry out other reasonable tasks as requested by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certification.
- Work Experience: No prior experience required.
- Supervisory Experience: Not necessary.
- Mandatory Certifications: CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
- Additional training or certifications may be required by local or state regulatory agencies.
