Fortrea's PC Academy is seeking a Project Coordinator I to become a vital part of its expanding team. Candidates must reside within the United States. This role supports early-phase clinical trials, particularly first-in-human studies, ensuring that projects stay organized, on schedule, and compliant with rigorous audit standards. The Project Coordinator will collaborate closely with experienced project managers and cross-disciplinary teams in a dynamic and cooperative remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and assist with management of Phase I clinical trials, including studies conducted at external sites.
  • Create and upkeep essential study documentation such as project plans, communication plans, and risk registers.
  • Monitor timelines, key milestones, and overall study progress to guarantee successful trial execution.
  • Organize and lead study meetings, preparing agendas, recording minutes, and managing follow-up tasks.
  • Oversee clinical trial management systems (CTMS) and electronic Trial Master Files (eTMF), ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
  • Serve as a main liaison point between internal teams and external study sites.
  • Contribute to study feasibility assessments, start-up processes, and coordinate with vendors.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and provide guidance to junior team members.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Educational background in life sciences or a closely related discipline, or comparable professional experience.
  • Two to three years of experience in clinical research, specifically supporting project management or study coordination.
  • Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) guidelines along with clinical trial protocols.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities coupled with strong written and verbal communication and effective problem-solving skills.
