Position Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of new and updated digital content products for a prominent player in digital publishing and information services. This remote contract role involves overseeing projects from initiation through release while ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.

Core Responsibilities

Lead project management across all phases of product development and launch.
Create comprehensive project timelines including milestones, dependencies, and delivery dates.
Monitor progress, budget utilization, risks, resource allocation, and final delivery targets consistently.
Effectively communicate project updates, schedule modifications, and budget or content discrepancies to stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with content owners, subject matter experts, peer reviewers, and external contributors.
Ensure timely submission of deliverables, required documentation, and payment requisitions.
Handle multiple projects and complex resource scheduling simultaneously.
Manage regular meetings involving both internal teams and external partners.
Document business requirements jointly with development and distribution teams.
Identify and resolve problems reported by internal units, partners, or customers promptly.
Coordinate with product, marketing, sales, client services, and development teams during product launches and communications.
Apply Agile methodologies to enhance project workflows within the content development environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
A minimum of two years managing projects including schedules, budgets, resources, deadlines, and stakeholder communication.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and communication abilities.
Proven experience collaborating with both technical teams and business units.
Capacity to juggle competing priorities and manage simultaneous project assignments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheets, databases, and project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Quickbase platform.
Familiarity with Agile project management practices.
Background in digital content, publishing, education, media, or information services industries.
Exposure to content development, editorial, peer-review, or product launch processes.

Additional Information

This is a fully remote contract position running from July 24, 2026, through March 31, 2027, with compensation set at $38 per hour.

Project Manager
