About the Role
Join one of Asia’s pioneering financial institutions as a Middleware Support Engineer within the Technology Command Center. This pivotal position ensures the seamless operation and reliability of the bank’s middleware platforms, which facilitate SOA and microservices applications across enterprise systems. You will actively monitor technology environments, manage incidents, and work collaboratively to maintain service stability and advance continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver first and second line (L1/L2) operational support for core middleware stacks, focusing on rapid incident response and user support.
- Monitor system availability and health using modern tools to proactively identify issues and initiate root cause analysis.
- Act as a primary contact for middleware issues, collaborating with various business and IT teams to drive timely resolutions.
- Oversee and improve key processes for incident management, change execution, and service stability across platforms.
- Apply analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues, ensuring minimal service disruption.
- Participate in shift-based, site support activities, with a strong sense of accountability and autonomous work ethic.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or engineering discipline is required.
- Certifications related to SOA and middleware products such as TIBCO are advantageous.
- Demonstrated skills with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, and IBM MQ for enterprise application environments.
- Minimum 5–6 years' experience in distributed systems, SOA/microservices, Spring Cloud Gateway, and related technology.
- Hands-on experience with secrets management platforms like Conjur or similar.
- Exposure to the TIBCO suite (including BW, API Exchange, EMS, Hawk, Mashery, Administrator) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of high availability (HA) design, clustering, load balancers, security, and network protocols.
- Solid familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools including Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Linux.
- Proficiency in Spring Boot, Java, JPA, and RESTful APIs.
