Our mission is to support and empower the MS community by connecting people affected with programs, information, research, and each other throughout their MS journey. This opportunity is for a Manager, Communications on a 16-month contract working 35 hours per week at a site in Regina, Saskatchewan. The position involves enhancing organizational reputation through strategic communications, managing media relations, and collaborating cross-functionally to help teams meet their communication goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of corporate communications best practices to elevate MS Canada's public profile.
• Manage media relations, including responding to inquiries, outreach efforts, and organizing media logistics.
• Create compelling external communications content to inform and engage stakeholders and the public.
• Partner with internal teams to shape messaging aligned with organizational objectives and public relations strategies.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Proven track record managing communications, public relations, and media strategies that uphold brand identity and image.
• Experience handling media relations, including facilitating information requests and planning media engagements.
• Strong writing, editing, and project management capabilities with the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, demonstrating tact and diplomacy in challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative and trusting relationships with colleagues, partners, and community members.
• Leadership experience providing guidance, coaching, and feedback through direct management or project leadership roles.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends, with possible travel across Canada.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting annual salary between 75000 and 80000 CAD.
