About the Role

We are seeking a driven Junior Purchasing Assistant to become a key member of our Procurement team. This position is perfectly suited for recent graduates eager to gain experience in procurement, supplier coordination, and supply chain management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and processing purchase orders accurately.
Communicate with suppliers to manage quotations, deliveries, and invoices.
Maintain comprehensive procurement records and manage supplier databases.
Monitor stock levels and help with replenishing inventory.
Track purchase orders and oversee delivery timelines.
Support supplier onboarding by handling necessary documentation.
Contribute to procurement reporting and analyze relevant data.
Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to company policies.
Work collaboratively with finance and warehouse departments to address procurement challenges.
Participate in initiatives aimed at improving procurement processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Logistics, or a related discipline.
Strong organizational and analytical capabilities.
Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Previous internship or placement in procurement, logistics or operational roles.
Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle is a plus.
Basic knowledge of procurement and inventory management principles.
