Role overview

This position focuses on generating high-conviction long/short equity ideas through rigorous financial analysis, earnings interpretation, and the creation of clear investment theses. The engagement offers exposure to institutional hedge fund processes, along with a flexible arrangement and strong earning potential.

Compensation is set at $200 per hour, with a minimum commitment of 10 hours each week. The role is fully remote and based in the United States.

Key responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and improve detailed financial models that support long/short investing decisions.
Create well-structured investment memos that clearly explain the thesis and associated risks.
Analyze earnings results, build forecasts, and assess variances across different sectors.
Carry out market sizing and total addressable market analysis to assess opportunity scale and positioning.
Convert research findings into concise outputs that are ready for decision-making.

Core requirements

Proven background in hedge fund-style long/short equity research.
Strong ability in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
Capability to turn complex financial information into practical investment conclusions.
Excellent analytical precision and clear written communication for investment work.
