Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Job Overview

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer is tasked with installing, servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs of electrical machinery and systems to support continuous manufacturing operations while adhering strictly to safety protocols.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled preventive and unscheduled corrective maintenance on electrical devices and production equipment.
• Identify electrical malfunctions and carry out repairs on motors, control panels, wiring harnesses, and circuitry.
• Manage maintenance of electrical grid systems including switchboards, motor control centers (MCCs), distribution boards (DBs), and lighting installations.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and upkeep of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)-based machines.
• Oversee proper operation and servicing of compressors, diesel generator sets, air conditioning units, and other facility utilities.
• Replace defective electrical parts such as contactors, relays, miniature circuit breakers (MCBs), fuses, sensors, and switches effectively.
• Maintain detailed logs for all maintenance work, repairs undertaken, and inventory of spare components used.
• Collaborate closely with production teams to reduce equipment downtime and support operational efficiency.
• Follow stringent electrical safety guidelines and comply with relevant statutory safety standards.
• Support installation and setup processes for new machinery and plant equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization in the maintenance workshop and surroundings.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have completed ITI in Electrician trade or hold a Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Compensation

The monthly remuneration ranges between 18,000 and 24,000 INR.
