Retail Sales Manager

About the Role

Indiejewel Fashions Private Limited is seeking a Retail Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of a retail store in Pune, Maharashtra. This management role involves leading all store activities including staff supervision, financial oversight, merchandising, sales enhancement, and delivering outstanding customer service. The goal is to uphold superior operational standards and contribute towards the company's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service is delivered consistently, optimizing store presentation, merchandise displays, product arrangement, and sales procedures.
• Meet and surpass the store's strategic sales targets and profitability by monitoring sales performance, controlling costs, and managing stock effectively.
• Recruit, train, develop, and oversee store personnel, providing constructive feedback, coaching, and conducting performance appraisals.
• Manage daily staffing needs and organize employee schedules efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and local health standards within the store environment.
• Handle administrative tasks necessary for smooth operations, including timely completion of personnel documentation, sales reporting, and cash monitoring.
• Regularly track inventory and perform quality checks on merchandise to maintain standards.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline, preferably with 4 to 8 years of experience in retail sales; retail management experience and a college degree are favored.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time, set priorities, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience in recruitment processes including interviewing, hiring, and evaluating staff performance.
• Basic retail mathematics skills for inventory calculations, order placement, and cash register management.
• Capability to provide clear direction and expectations to the team, demonstrating leadership through example.

Compensation

The monthly salary ranges from 30000 to 45000 INR.
