Deli Assistant

Role Overview

This position is for a Deli Assistant based in Clerihan, County Tipperary. The primary responsibility is to prepare premium hot and cold deli items while ensuring top-notch customer service remains the focus.

Candidate Profile

• Having knowledge or certification in HACCP is advantageous, though not required.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Experience in customer service is beneficial.
• Ability to collaborate in a bustling team environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• A keen enthusiasm for food and the capability to engage and motivate shoppers.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders across various fresh food sections, including making sandwiches, rolls, assembling hot food, and slicing meats using portion control standards.
• Cook, prepare, and present foods consistently sold throughout the day.
• Maintain immaculate counter presentations in all fresh food areas at all times.
• Exhibit passion for quality food by sharing relevant information, recipes, and personal recommendations with customers.
• Efficiently and professionally handle all customer inquiries following store guidelines.

This is a permanent, full-time on-site role. It is not suited for school or college students. Start and finish times provided are approximate.
