Role overview

This contract opportunity is for a Cards Analytics Specialist based in Doha, Qatar, working onsite for 12 months with the possibility of extension. The position sits within the Banking & Financial Services sector and supports the Cards Product and Portfolio teams by turning data into practical insights that strengthen portfolio growth, customer engagement, profitability, and strategic decisions.

The role suits an experienced analytics professional with a solid background in credit and/or debit card portfolio analysis, business intelligence, and data visualization in banking or payments environments.

Key responsibilities

Create and continuously update regular portfolio performance reports and dashboards across acquisition, activation, spending, profitability, delinquency, retention, and overall portfolio health.
Run segmentation, cohort, vintage, and trend studies to uncover growth opportunities and operational or commercial risks.
Evaluate campaign performance using ROI calculations, A/B experiments, control-group comparisons, and post-campaign reviews.
Design and maintain interactive self-service dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
Work closely with Product, Marketing, Risk, Finance, and Operations teams to convert data findings into actionable recommendations.
Study customer behavior and portfolio trends to improve business performance.
Streamline recurring reporting through automation and improve the accuracy and efficiency of data and reporting processes.
Communicate analytical insights and business recommendations to senior decision-makers.

Experience and skills required

At least 7 years of experience in cards analytics, portfolio analytics, business intelligence, or data analytics within banking, payments, or financial services.
Practical exposure to credit and/or debit card portfolio analysis.
Advanced working knowledge of SQL and Excel.
Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or comparable data visualization platforms.
Strong understanding of portfolio metrics such as acquisition, activation, spending, retention, attrition, delinquency, profitability, and broader performance indicators.
Background in customer segmentation, cohort analysis, campaign measurement, and business performance reporting.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and stakeholder management skills.
Professional-level English communication skills.

Preferred background

Knowledge of Python or R.
Experience using SAS.
Exposure to CRM or campaign management tools.
Familiarity with card management systems.
Experience in consumer lending or credit risk analytics.

Availability

Applicants who can start immediately or join with a notice period of up to 30 days are preferred.
