Job Overview

The Assistant Support Worker role involves delivering daily care and assistance to individuals utilizing Nua's services. The position focuses on empowering clients to achieve meaningful lives through tailored support programs and professional teamwork. The working schedule consists of shift work covering all seven days and operates around the clock.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients in following their personalized daily schedules.
• Provide support during community activities to encourage social participation.
• Help individuals develop education and personal skills to meet their goals.
• Aid with essential household and life management skills such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and facilitating family visits.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, standards, and regulatory guidelines prudently.
• Engage in shift work across 24 hours a day, seven days a week roster.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• No formal qualification required for Assistant Support Workers; comprehensive training will be provided.
• For Social Care Workers, a Level 7 or 8 degree related to Social Care or Healthcare is needed, along with CORU registration.
• Relevant life experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• A positive work attitude and genuine passion for supporting individuals with complex needs.
• A full driver’s licence is required, or candidates should be actively pursuing one.
