Key duties

  • Work in line with the organisation’s mission, vision, and values.

  • Coach colleagues, share feedback, and offer practical support to maintain consistent implementation of support strategies.
  • Oversee data collection and monitoring, then share updates with the Behavioural Specialist weekly or as requested.
  • Work with the Behavioural Specialist and centre management to review incidents involving behaviours of concern and identify learning and extra supports needed.
  • Attend regular meetings with the Behavioural Specialist to provide progress updates and feedback on plans.
  • Partner with centre management to consider the impact of staff practice on quality of life and identify ways to improve team performance, including training needs and roster planning.
  • Use a trauma-informed, least-restrictive approach with a strong focus on prevention and support.

Requirements

  • A Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in social care, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Current enrolment in, or plans to start, a master’s in Applied Behaviour Analysis.
  • Understanding of the relevant standards and legislation for the sector.
  • Previous experience leading a team.
  • Ideally 3 to 4 years’ experience in residential care.
  • Experience working with PBS competency frameworks is desirable.
