Role Overview
The Zonal Sales Manager will oversee all sales activities within a specific geographic zone, focusing on institutional sales in the education sector. This senior leadership role demands strategic planning, team supervision, and aligning local sales strategies with broader organizational goals to drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement detailed sales plans tailored to the specific market conditions of the zone.
- Establish clear targets and key performance indicators aligned with corporate objectives.
- Manage and guide a team of regional sales managers and sales representatives through mentoring, performance evaluations, and training initiatives.
- Expand market presence by identifying growth opportunities and building strong relationships with decision-makers in higher education institutions.
- Maintain enduring connections with institutional leaders and relevant industry participants.
- Track and evaluate sales metrics to optimize sales processes and outcomes.
- Collaborate with marketing and product departments to customize offerings and campaigns for local market needs.
- Effectively manage the zoning budget, including resource allocation, sales forecasting, and initiative implementation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards, providing regular status reports to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or a comparable advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Experience in working with or within higher education or EdTech organizations.
